What’s it like being in front of my camera?
We’re gonna be moving and laughing. I’ll take candid, documentary images. I’ll also give you prompts and poses. Not stiff poses, friends. I want you to make it YOURS. If you seem uncomfortable, I’ll guide you to a grounded place. I’ll make sure you shine! I’ll also make bad jokes.
How do you pick out what to wear for your photoshoot?
Before your session, I’ll send you a style guide (excludes weddings, duh). Longer sessions allow for more wardrobe changes. My favorite tips:
wear what makes you feel good about yourself
quality clothing in your closet is better than a new piece from an Amazon brand
follow my style advice unless you hate it, then don’t <3
If you were partying on Franklin St. in Chapel Hill at night circa [dates redacted], I may have thrown bits of banana or marshmallow at you from a rooftop. We called it banan-anarchy and it was the most exclusive club in town. Plus the drinks were free.
I don’t throw stuff at people from rooftops anymore.
We can do that if you want, though. For art.
I taught English in Seoul, SK after graduating from UNC Chapel Hill. The best Korean around here remains Seoul Garden on Atlantic Avenue in Raleigh.
I’ve always thought I could go skydiving at least once. I’m old enough, though, to know the gulf between imagination and experience can be pretty dang wide. Let me know if you want to go skydiving.
